“Composing, for me, means writing the invisible part of the iceberg,
giving a sound to what remains submerged, unheard”.

Interested in music in its multifaceted aspects, Federico Gardella has written music for the stage, for the concert hall, for the cinema, intertwining distant forms of art (from Japanese Noh Theater to electronic music).
His works have been performed by ensembles such as the Scharoun Ensemble of the Berliner Philharmoniker, the Arditti Quartet, the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra and presented, among others, at La Biennale di Venezia, at Casa da Música in Porto and at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.
He lives and works in Milan.
